August 21st Report

Had an awesome trip last night with Joe Edwards of Raleigh, along with his son Joe and friend Austin. The bite was a bit on the slow side, but we managed to put some quality fish in the boat. Little Joe got the trash talking started early with a 14 pound blue….but Austin answered back when he hooked up with a beast of a fish. After a solid 15 minute fight, we weighed in a 30 pounder that would be his biggest catfish to date! At the end of the trip, the young fellows were even kind enough to let big Joe reel one in. 😉 All in all it was a great trip in my book, and I can’t wait to get back out there again. The big fish bite will only continue to improve as we move into the colder months, so come fish with me! Tight lines

Congrats to Ashly Jackson (Raleigh) on her new PB, an 18 pound blue catfish! The fish are on the move right now, and we are still catching decent numbers of eaters with some larger fish in the mix. The day bite is also starting to pick up and will only get better as we move into the fall. It shouldn’t be too much longer before we start to see some topwater striper action as well. We still have a few dates open in September, so book soon to make sure you get in on this action!
