Pressure

The atmospheric pressure is one of the most baffling pieces of the fishing puzzle. I can’t count the number of times I’ve heard anglers say “that front came in and gave the fish lockjaw!” While there may be some merit to the idea that sudden changes in pressure can affect the bite, I know this to not always be the case. Often times the fish are still feeding, but they will move to a different part of the water column in order to adjust to this pressure change. In these instances, fisherman who limit themselves to fishing one part of the water column will experience a poor bite. But fisherman who stay on their toes and adjust their presentation accordingly can still manage to put fish in the boat, even on tough days.
In this section, I will go into details about how to adjust your presentation so that you can still catch fish in these situations!
