What to Bring

All fishing gear will be provided.  This includes rods, reels, tackle, bait, etc.  If you would like to bring your own gear, feel free.  Just be sure to check with the captain beforehand to make sure your gear is up to the task of tackling the fish we will be targeting.

Be sure to dress appropriately! Even in warmer months, an early morning boat ride can be a bit chilly. If the sun will be out, we highly recommend that you bring sunscreen and a good pair of shades!  Insect repellent also comes in handy, especially on night fishing trips.

We do not provide food/drinks, so be sure to pack a lunch and plenty of water. A cooler with ice will be provided, however if you would like to keep any fish be sure to bring your own cooler/ice. We do not clean your catch! Most folks also like to bring a camera along to document the trip.  Your captain will also have a camera on board to make sure that your catch is well documented.

It is the responsibility of each individual on the boat to obtain a valid freshwater fishing license prior to the trip. Since Kerr Lake lies on the border of NC and VA, licenses from either state are accepted. Fishing licenses can be purchased at Walmart or at most large tackle shops. Or you can click on the links below to purchase your license online!
