Fished the Catfish Showdown tournament at Kerr this past weekend and had a blast. Great folks, great food, and some great fish weighed in! Kerr Lake hosted it’s first pro catfish tournament on April 14th. The tournament featured pro anglers and locals alike. Congrats to Tony Milam and Wallace “Gator” Jones, who took home the check with a total weight of 87.75 pounds. It was a tough day of fishing, but a good time was had by all. Now it looks like Jay and I will be heading down to Selma, Alabama in September to fish the King Kat Classic! For info on how you can fish it too, visit the website at www.kingkatusa.com

I fished with Jay Hopkins yesterday in the 1st Catfish Challenge Tournament of the year.  We finished 6th with a combined weight of 36.34 pounds.  A great day on the water with some great folks! Congrats to Charlie Hall on the 1st place finish.
