Hank Godwin of Greensboro, hoists a 30 lb blue catfish caught on a cold January day. Water temps have finally dropped into the mid-40’s, and the big fish bite is pretty consistent. The lake level is also rising significantly due to recent rains, and by next week it should be near normal for this time of year. So come out and start the new year off right….with a monster blue catfish!
Congrats to Tim and Matt who won the tournament this weekend with a 41.5 pound blue! You don’t get too many 70 degree days in January, but the fish sure seem to like it when you do. PS…the water level is still extremely low, so be careful out there!
