I’m Wes “Redbeard” Jordan, the owner and operator of Redbeard Cats Guide Service. I grew up in rural NC, an avid outdoorsman from a very young age. At the age of 20, I began targeting big catfish and striper on Kerr Lake. A couple of years later, what started out as a weekend hobby became an obsession for me. After catching my first citation catfish, I began dedicating every minute of my free time to trying to figure out the amazing fishery that is Kerr Lake. Now, nearly 20 years and countless giant fish later, I genuinely enjoy sharing the experience with others! When I am not on the water, I’m working as a registered nurse or hanging out with my awesome wife Brett and our two daughters, Ola and Loretta.
