What type of gear you use largely depends on how and where you will be fishing. Are there trophy blue or flathead catfish in the waters you fish, or are you targeting smaller channel catfish? Will you be fishing in a river with lots of current, or a pond/lake with no current? Is there alot of structure where you will be fishing, or is there a clean bottom?
