The spring bite is really starting to heat up. With water temps creeping up into the 50’s in places, the baitfish are on the move and so are the big blues! Several citations have been landed in the last two weeks, and in my opinion, this is one of the best times of year to try for a 50+ pound fish. Unfortunately, the Equalizer is undergoing a engine upgrade right now…but I should be back on the water by next week. In the meantime, I’ve been staying up on on the latest patterns and lake conditions by fishing with fellow members of the “A-team.” Here are a few pics from a trip last Sunday with Matt and Tim. This fish tipped the scales at 58 pounds and was a new PB for Tim. I also have a video of the release which I will post shortly!
